I won't argue with it because it could be true that some fans were impressed but I'll share the opinions of other fans who weren't impressed with his choice in playing this role.

Some fans see Keanu Reeves as a Narcissist afraid of death and he has no legacy to leave behind so he participates in a video game that immortalized a resemblance of himself as a sex symbol. Some fans are disgusted with his choice in doing this role. Some even think that Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk and his other movie choice: Siberia, Generation Um and Knock Knock is nothing more than soft porn, using Reeves as a sex object.

If we are going to discuss opinions of Keanu Reeves and his movie roles, let's be inclusive. There are always two or more opinions out there about a topic. The real question is are there more negative or positive opinions?

I love the Matrix, not because of Reeves but because of so many other people involved in the making of it and the storyline. I also love Destination Wedding and Always be my Maybe because of the writing and characterization but I know there are also people who don't like these movie.

This article is written as if there is only one unanimous opinion of Johnny Silverhand and this is not so.
