Alexandra Grant and her Missing $60,000

Let's compare three different articles on the Watts House. The one in Alexandra Grant's own word which is published on the website of her alma mater, California College of the Arts in February 2020, she uses phrases like a “living artwork, blending private and public spaces and bringing architects, artists, designers, and residents together in creative partnership” along with the claim that she has produced and sold her love trademarked jewelry to help the Johnsons raise $60,000 for the renovation but this project started in 2008 and it is not done 12 years later. The project was taken over by Fulcrum and they are still soliciting donations. Why do they need more money if they already have $60,000? Grant is soliciting donation for this project under her grantlove website and fulcrum is also soliciting donation on their website.

In previous articles, we see that the community protested against the idea of that monstrosity on the house. The architect also informed Grant that it was structurally unsound. I personally think it’s ugly and useless in the scheme of things except as a prop for free promotion that benefits only Alexandra Grant. The owner of the house was interested in getting extra rooms and more space inside the house as there were 10 people living there in 2008.

This project highlights her narcissism and delusion and she is still bragging about it every chance she gets as if she has done something great and useful. The $60,000 seems to be missing in actions and there is no justification for her to praise herself. She should try being honest for once and admit that it was a failure and she has screwed this black family in Watts with broken promise for 12 years.

Didn’t she recently post something about owning up to past mistake? This would be a good start.
