Reminiscing on the first post I made on my Instagram, twitter and blog on November 9, 2019 in response to Ed Solomon's tweet that he made on November 5, 2019 but has since deleted.

This tweet was: “I find it astounding that people are so flummoxed by the fact that Keanou would be in a long term relationship with an amazing woman who is his peer and who is (roughly) his age. By all accounts, she's awesome. And by one (my) account, Keanu is awesome.”

And he proceeded to add: “I know people who know his GF well (they've been together for quite awhile and she's not only a wonderful artist, but an intelligent, gifted, incredibly nice person."

For many of us in Lipstick Alley, we disagree with Ed's assessment and I took it as an opportunity to share what we have heard and know and what we truly wish for Keanu Reeves.

In looking at this post, my own words haunts me: “We have heard that phrase, if we are his true fan, we would be happy for him. DAMN right, we would be happy for him if he IS happy. We are concerned the narrative of a loving couple does not match with the look in his eyes. We wonder if he is participating in a MEDIA CIRCUS that goes against his own integrity and moral compass. He seems to have aged considerably within these past few years which coincide with his closer proximity to Ms. Grant. Just because we are fans does not mean we cannot disagree with his decisions. Your fans love you for a reason and when your actions show a different person, a different side, a side that is playing a media game, we are disappointed...”

Ten months later, Keanu still carries that look of misery and it has only increased. I tether between smacking some sense into him and offering a hug because fuck, he looks like he needs it. He certainly has not been saved from misery by a good woman. He has been sucked into a PR scheme by that alien from the Miniseries V. That alien wants to be loved but there is nothing loving about her so the world has rebelled againtst the lies that are being fed to us. It's that simple. The reason our accounts exist.
