Overload

The branding of Alexandra Grant as Keanu Reeves’ girlfriend would have been more believable if the words used were partially true. Instead we get words like silver-haired stunner, savior, goddess, spiritual, sensitive, low-key and humble. Photos in her IG accounts and photos of her “captured” by the paparazzi show someone who is smug, arrogant, and a fame-whore. If you listen to her speak, you hear someone pretentious, lacking the foresight to anticipate the negligence of her words. Example—bragging about the Watts House when it’s a failure and most people would be ashamed to bring it up and discussing Xartistsbooks as a mean to publish her own book and retain movie rights. If her PR campaign has stated that Reeves is dating a homely, mediocre artist who thinks highly of herself and speak incessantly on irreverent topics but he still ADORES her anyway, fuck it, what else can we do but accept it. Instead we get a narrative of Keanu Reeves dating a goddess and savior but all we see is disgust on his face when she is near and then joy when she disappears from his side. Just look at his energy when she was visiting the set of the Matrix and compare it to the joy he exudes on his day off, roaming the city, exploring it alone, and meeting fans.
