Comment on Grant's Lecture at APU

I am reading comments on Alexandra Grant's lecture @art_apu this past Friday and art_apu stated "our students loved every second and we were thrilled to have her." I did not listen to the talk but a comment from a person who did watch it stated that in explaining why her vanity press Xabs does not accept submissions, she basically laughed and insulted people, speaking as if she has no time to waste on idiots. I'm shocked that a Christian school did not see anything wrong with a woman insulting other people at their event and think the students are thrilled to have her there.

As I have stated before, her publishing company is a vanity press meant to serve her interests. It is the job of a real publishing company to read manuscripts, but for a narcissist, this will not do as she cannot waste her time doing what a publishing company would do. She stated in other interview that she wrote a book called the Artist's Prison in 2013 and to get around the issue of who would own the movie's rights, she solved it by creating her own publishing company, a company that does not accept submission. If this isn't narcissistic, I don't know what is. She already thinks her writing deserve to be made into a movie. From what I can tell, The Artist's Prison has about 10 pages of writing and the rest is artwork.
I would not be surprised that future book will be written by different writers but will feature Grant's "artwork." Oh wait, didn't someone said that writers have already chose not to publish with Xabs because her criteria was that she would be the illustrator for the book? Xabs is a vanity press created to showcase her arts, then?
