To paraphrase Grant's explanation, it’s because you will get bad manuscripts from people who think they are geniuses and she does not want to waste her time reading them.  I think she may have described herself and her own delusion of grandeur with that statement. The person who think she is a genius, and her book will be made into a movie so she asked her famous rich friend to create a publishing company with her. I’m inclined to believe the whole media circus is to promote this publishing company. All those tabloid stories of her romance with Keanu has gotten her invited to various events to discuss relationship and lecture on language and image at #azusapacificuniversity. It is sickening that she is getting this kind of platform through media manipulation and a fake relationship. Actually, even if it was a real relationship, let’s look at why it is wrong, using it to promote herself.
