Save Antigone

Dedicated to @copycat_2020 for #saveantigone & educating us on the #greekplay #Antigone by #Sophocles and how #AlexandraGrant is profiting from it but does not give proper credit.
The simplest translation of the Greek phrase is “I was born to love, not hate” but the full translation is “I was born to share in love (or join in love), not hate—that is my nature.” Words and nuances get lost in translation.
The themes in Antigone include civil disobedience, a woman standing up against patriarchy, obeying the law of god and morality versus the law of State set by a ruler.
Sophocles chooses the law of the gods and so does his heroine. Sophocles uses the play to warn his countrymen about excessive pride because he believes it would be their downfall.

The irony that a #narcissist is profiting from this phrase should not be lost on us or that her exhibition was at #lowellryanproject and the owner Mike Weiss has questionable action toward a former employee, firing her for being dressed inappropriately but also calling her into his office and inspecting her as if she is a cow for sale.
