Marfa and the Art World

Marfainvitational and Alexandra Grant are using Keanu Reeves's name to promote a rigged and corrupted art event. Rigged because the person getting the most post on their page is Grant all due to the tabloid articles of being Reeves gf. Corrupted because they don't care that she lied on her resume or in interviews.

Marfa is also a hot spot for celebrities outside the art world. Beyoncé Instagrammed herself leaping in front of Prada Marfa—a mock-up Prada store-front by artist duo Elmgreen and Dragset parodying the idea of a luxury store in the middle of nowhere.  Along with the faux store, many of Marfa's abandoned buildings are now strongholds of art. One of the town’s leading institutions Ballroom Marfa is known for its benefits events attended by the likes of Naomi Campbell and Sofia Coppola.
